От коллокации он отличается именно тем, что содержит больше, чем 2 слова, обычно эта цифра варьируется от трех до шести.
Когда мы используем чанки, наша речь звучит естественнее.
Фиксированными. Нельзя заменить ни одно из приведённых слов. Например: over the moon — на седьмом небе от счастья, out of the blue — ни с того ни с сего.
Полуфиксированными. Можно подобрать замену какому-то определённому слову.
Например: nice to see you/good to see you/great to see you.
Лексическими: "stand out from the crowd", "by the way"
Грамматическими: ''I'm wondering if...'', ''If I were you, I would...''
